About Turāth House

We study, translate and publish the intellectual heritage of Islamic civilization, in Urdu and English, and we show the sources for what we say.

What we do

Turāth (تراث) is the Arabic word for heritage: what a civilization inherits and is responsible for passing on. Turāth House works on that inheritance in four ways.

  • ResearchLong-form articles on the scholars, books and ideas that shaped Islamic civilization.
  • DocumentariesFilms in Urdu, told with care and with their sources.
  • TranslationTranslation between Arabic, Urdu and English in every direction, checked line by line.
  • PublicationsAnnotated booklets in Urdu, now in preparation.

How we work

AI tools help us gather references and prepare drafts quickly. They never have the last word. Before a page is presented as final, a scholar trained in Arabic and the classical Islamic sciences checks its verses, ḥadīth, dates and quotations against their sources. Until then, the page is marked as a draft.

Our method in three words: AI-assisted. Scholar-verified. Heritage-rooted.

What we hold to

  • Research before contentWe read the sources before we write about them.
  • Accuracy before speedWe would rather publish late than publish wrong.
  • Trust before scaleOne reliable page is worth more than a hundred careless ones.
  • Study, not glorificationWe do not glorify history. We study it.

Whom we write for

Readers and viewers in Urdu and English who love this heritage and want it told truthfully: students, teachers, imams, researchers and families.
